Helen Lotson gets a kiss and nuzzle from her nurse before heading out to a church event in Waycross, Ga. Helen is mostly non-verbal except to yell out 'Hey!' when she's happy and excited. Helen lived in state institutions for most other life before she was relocated to a private apartment, operated by East Seals of South Georgia. She now enjoys a richer life than was possible in the state hospital.
